‘I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.’ If you could be immortal, would you?

My new website is finally up and running and my blog post for today is about my Arwen riding coat cosplay I made for @dragoncon this year! I love this shot because of the detail I got in the sleeve embroidery. I used silver embroidery floss for this and mirrored the design on both sides. I absolutely love doing hand embroidery, though it is time consuming, it is gratifying and methodical.
“Your time will come” 🍃🌙👑 My Arwen riding coat cosplay all designed and made by me @aubrey_busek @_worldofaubreybusek_
LOTR is a staple favorite trilogy of books and movies of mine, so I love bringing one of my favorite characters to life. I actually have already made another Arwen cosplay, a much fancier dress, and will be shooting photos of it soon! So excited to be on my costuming journey!

Always wandering on the fairy path 🍃🍄
I am so thrilled to be back here, creating new pieces and able to share my passion with you. The path I’m on now is the one I’ve always wanted to be on, and it’s taken me a long time to realize I could make it work. Time for self reflection. Time to re-analyze and rediscover. And time to plan. I will not look back, I will only look forward from now on. Get ready for costumes, cosplay, and more! My shop will open back up soon with beautiful new pieces to help you create your own fantasy life. I will also be blogging about my costuming adventures and my work in general.
Taking a walk through a secret garden 🦊🌿 since summer is almost over and I’m working on very exciting new pieces and moving in a different direction with my work, I’m having a sale in my Etsy shop! I have some gorgeous summer pieces including a few of these dresses left! Everything in the shop is handmade and designed by me with lots of love. Click the link in my bio to shop the look! Just let the wind take you where she needs to. 🧚🏻‍♀️ this cape is made out of silk chiffon, I love working with this fabric despite its reputation! It billows and blows so perfectly in the breeze, you’d think you have fairies holding the train 🧝🏻‍♀️ can be made to order, send me a message!
I’m just a medieval forest Elf princess at heart. I love making headpieces like this! Expect some fun ones to shop soon ❤️
High Priestess 🌙
Silk charmeuse cape made by me. I have more of this fabric available if anyone is interested; message me. ❤️
After some much needed time away from social media, I’m back! I needed some time to reflect on myself, my work, my art, and what I wanted out of life. Time was needed to nourish my soul, and my body, which were screaming at me for a break. Time to heal, and discover myself again. I’m so thrilled about the direction I’m taking my design work in, because I’m finally following my true passions. Costume, history, and fantasy have always played a huge inspirational role for me in my design and art work. I’ve always been passionate about fantasy novels, comic books, and video games, but kept it more in my personal life instead of in my work. Now, instead of it just being inspiration, I will be actually making it. Costumes, cosplay, headpieces, hats, jewelry and more coming soon! I will still be making some ‘ready to wear’ fashion pieces as well and doing makeup looks here that will go alongside my costumes. I feel life is too short and my ideas too large to not follow my heart and my passions. I’ve always seen myself as someone whose mind flows between this realm and the realm of myth, fantasy, and magic. Now, we will make this a reality. Ill also be continuing to blog, but the blog will be focused on my cosplay and costume pieces and how I work as an artist. I know this post is long, but I just want for everyone to understand my absence. The pressures of social media are tough for anyone, but especially those of us that are makers, and work in the fashion industry. I want all of you to know that it’s okay to be different. To be something different than what you see on social media and in your industry. Even if you don’t ‘fit in’, follow your heart and everything will work out the way it’s supposed to. I love all of you, and hope you all stick around and see the exciting new things I’ll be making this year!
